Exercise 1 - Using the breath to cleanse
Starting
with breathing in, hold, in the forehead, in the Ajna* and release.
Breathing in, hold and release.
Breathing in, hold and release.
When
we are troubled and when we are worried or cannot sleep, or when
we are in a state of emotional turbulence, using this breath will
help make you calm.
The
aim of the breath is to bring you into yourself, so as you’re
breathing in call up to yourself the thought or emotion that arises
out of yourself.
Do
not engage the emotion or the thought, just greet the thought,
greet the emotion and then bless the thought, bless the emotion
and with gratitude let it go.We’ll try this right now.
With
the tongue on the upper palate, closing your mouth, breathing
through your nose, bringing wonderous breath into yourself, expanding
your diaphragm, holding the breath, and when you are holding the
breath thinking about your 3rd eye region.
And
then using your Master chakra (the Ajna) which resides in the
3rd eye, willing yourself to empty all constraints, all negative
thoughts, all negative energies out of yourself and then hold.
We
will hold and have breath for 6 heartbeats in, 3 heartbeats holding,
6 heartbeats out & 3 heartbeats holding.
When
we are holding, a wonderful thing is occurring in our body.
We are letting a phenomenal part of ourselves open to the Infinite
Chi or the Infinite Prana, the Infinite Life-Force of this universe.
It cannot be seen and yet it acts on all atoms in the universe.
And so we are replenished and regenerated.
This
is a wonderful tool to bring yourself to calmness in any situation,
and then either go on to your normal meditation breathing lightly
and well, or fully and well and greet all thoughts as friends
and then let them go. Eventually reaching an equable part of your
breath work where you are still, and free, and just Being.
This
meditation work can occur at any time of the day. It can occur
when you awaken in the morning. When you are lying in bed you
can start with the special 6-3 6-3 breath and then enter into
being-ness, just observe your breath and do nothing, just Be,
Be in the Infinite Self. No thought.
If
a thought arises you can use the 6-3 6-3 method of breathwork
and then let it go. It does not matter what emotion or thought
arises, these are but part of your energetic body.

Exercise 2 - Sitting, aligning & using
the breath to release
Every
thought and every emotion in ourselves gathers prana or energy
or Life-force to it and becomes a thing.
And
to achieve Being-ness or emptiness we must let go of all things.
Our thoughts, our emotions, all must be let go. To let go we must
be kind. Be kindly to your thought, greeting it with gratitude
and with love, and then release.
First,
align yourself. Sit in a comfortable position or lie down. You
could sit once or twice a day, early in the morning and later
at night- not too late because this work can energise you. Early
in the morning and 6 at night is a good time.
When
you do this you do not have to be strictly on time. You can just
be doing this in a relaxed manner in your life. Some people believe
that you must adhere to a structure and a discipline. And this
can be great, it can be very helpful if your own life is chaotic.
But
in general choosing an aimiable time in the morning before you
arise, and an amiable time in the afternoon or early evening is
very good.
You could choose to do this anytime of the day really. But remember
doing meditation late at night may energise you so that you end
up being very wakeful. The body needs to rest, so earlier would
be better.
And
now, placing yourself in a nice comfortable position.
And using your Divine intention say to yourself-
‘I shall sit here in Divine alignment to my Universal Self,
to God, to the Infinite Light of Universal Self.’
And
by saying it, by being it, by intending it, we align ourselves
to God.
This is a very good thing to do, as it brings our whole energy
body- which consists of many layers of consciousness- into attention,
into Awakening. And aligns it to the intention of Divine spiritual
self. It is a spiritual practice.
It
is a spiritual practice that should be practiced, in the end,
in all parts of your life. So you don’t strictly have to
remain in a disciplined position.
You
can be attending to your life and be awakened by this breath work.
You can be working in your life, in the office or wherever it
is that you work, with your family, and if you are feeling tired,
worried, bitter, sad, you can sit in a quiet place, in a relaxed
state, and do this breath work.
It
will assist you to achieve calmness and disperse the energy that
keeps you from just being free, from being yourself, from being
in your Being.
We are not trying to achieve any goal. We are just trying to release
ourselves to be free, in the moment, to just be, just be, nothing
else.
So
let us commence, it’s very easy:
Sit quietly in a relaxed way, make sure that your hands are facing
upwards, and your legs are not crossed, and then sitting upright
or lying flat bring yourself to the breath.
Close
your mouth, put your tongue on the upper palate and breath in
through the nose and out through the mouth.
Later
on you may like to increase your breath to 8, 10 or 12 breaths
in, and half the number of breaths out. But when we start, using
the 6-3 6-3 method is a very good esoteric healing breath.
So
commence. Breathing in, hold in your forehead, in your 3rd eye
region, some of you may even start to see a light and then relax
and release (out breath) all tension.
Then
hold without breath.
Now
again, filling your diaphragm, closing your mouth, breathing in....
hold, with the thought of love, or light, or a star in your forehead,
and tell yourself with your Divine Intention ‘I release
all negative energy from myself’ and see it going (out
breath).
Then
there is stillness. Breathing in, hold, and release. Breathing
in....and release, feeling yourself sinking into relaxation.
And
now if you feel turbulence again breathing in, filling your forehead,
feeling your diaphragm and all thoughts and emotions that arise,
greet them with love, kindness and then, tell them to go, and
breath them away.
Then,
no breath. So, breathing in...feel the ajna..and release..and
hold..and now breathing in, hold....and release.
This
can be a breath to do many things. It can be a breath for self
healing. So we breath in....hold in the ajna, feeling the energy
build, and then release out of all chakras...And again....and
release out of all chakras...One more time...breathing in, hold
and release.
After
you have done this 7 times, you can relax and release, and just
start breathing normally, letting yourself drift into awareness,
awareness of breath, awareness of life and just be aware.
And
as you become aware of your surroundings, every thought that arises,
every emotion, every twinge of your body, do not engage it, just
greet it with kindness and loving attention and then gently release
it.
After a while this practice will settle into a calm state, and
you shall become calm, and can derive great benefit in all your
systems from just being.
When
you are finished, bless yourself, bless God, bless the Infinite,
bless everything in your life no matter how sad, no matter how
conflicted, use the breath, bless it and let it go.
And
you will find that things will not assume the large proportions
that they did before, they will start to relax, and become more
calm.
